More Avengers Infinity War Toys in stores - Marvel Legends, LEGO, Nerf, 6" Hasbro Figures

I came across some more Avengers Infinity War toys today while at Wal-Mart and the endangered species that is my local Toys R Us. Last week I posted toys from Hot Wheels and Hasbro's Titan Hero Series.  This week I found some more Infinity War toys from Lego, Nerf, and Hasbro's Marvel Legends toys. 

Be warned that the LEGO sets, pictured below, may reveal some spoilers from Avengers Infinity War.

Avengers Infinity War toys showing up in stores! Hot Wheels & Titan Hero Series

With the release of Avengers: Infinity War less than two months away we’ve started to see some of the various movie toys pop up in some stores.  I came across a few of these at my local Walmart which are pictured below. 

So far only the Hot Wheels Avengers vs Thanos Showdown set and various Avengers Infinity War Titan Hero 12" figures have been spotted.

Geoff Johns to be elevated to position he should have always had at DC Films

Looks like Warner Bros. is trying to get their theatrical house in order after the performance of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.  If the stories circulating on the net tonight are true it looks like Warners is putting Exec VP Jon Berg and DC’s CCO Geoff Johns in charge of their movie universe. 

Jon Berg has worked on BvS, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, and currently Justice League. Geoff Johns is already one of the industry’s most popular writers and helped successfully launch DC’s television universe with Arrow and The Flash. Johns has also reportedly co-written a script for a new Batman movie along with Ben Affleck who is set to direct it.

DC Entertainment has needed their version of Kevin Fiege, who keeps everything in check at Marvel, and I think putting Johns in that position is a no brainer. Geoff has has had executive producer credits for a lot of DC’s films, but has primarily been working on the TV and comics side of things. 

Want to know more about Johns then listen to episodes 28 & 29 of Kevin Smith’s Fatman on Batman podcast to learn just how steeped in comics and movies. It’s worth it just hear him tell amazing stories of interning for Richard Donner.

DC Comics releases new Retro inspired logo in time for REBIRTH

It looks like DC is taking it “old school” this May. DC Entertainment announced their new logo earlier today.  The logo will debut on the cover of the DC UNIVERSE: REBIRTH SPECIAL #1 written by Geoff Johns, DC Entertainment’s CCO. Johns stated “To me, REBIRTH and the new DC logo are built on what’s come before while looking to what will come tomorrow. I can’t wait for people to see it on the cover”

This new logo is very reminiscent of DC’s 1972 and 1974 design. It will immediately appear on DC Entertainments other media platforms like websites, web series, social media, and products.

I, for one, am very excited for REBIRTH and am curious how this new logo will look on the comics. I also can’t wait to see how this new logo will play at the begging of upcoming DC movies.
